California FreewayIt was the day before Thanksgiving, and most of the time was spent on the California freeways going from one box store to another – not my favorite activity. Pre-thanksgiving priorities required that Mary (daughter), Anya, and Colin (grand kids) shop at stores like Cosco, Target, and Best Buy (ugh!).

That was my niece on the phone the night before I was to leave to see my kids in California for Thanksgiving. You know from yesterday’s post that I went to Detroit instead of California. It was my Teri’s call that changed my plans.

Let the journey begin.

Paul Carter starting the journey in Lenox, Massachusetts.Today, my friend Ken Nelson, dropped me off in town, where I boarded the Peter Pan bus bound from Lenox, Massachusetts, for New York City, where tomorrow I’ll catch a flight to Detroit to visit my sister Jan and kin for a few days. Then, it’s on to California to visit daughters Mary and Laura plus hubbies and grand kids.
