Today I worked out at the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, nestled in the little town of Encinitas, California. Magdalena’s family was one of the big land owners in a town where flowers of all kinds were grown for markets around the world. Part of their legacy was one of the nicest YMCA’s in the country. How could I not use this facility while visiting my daughter Laura in Encinitas? It’s one of the best places I’ve ever known for honoring my top priority – health.
There is glorious sunshine once again in sunny Southern California today. I begin to think about the tools I use to keep sunny on the inside with an amazing 80 lifestyle. I hop aboard the Coaster, a commuter train that runs along the Pacific Coast from Oceanside south to San Diego, California.
It was the day before Thanksgiving, and most of the time was spent on the California freeways going from one box store to another – not my favorite activity. Pre-thanksgiving priorities required that Mary (daughter), Anya, and Colin (grand kids) shop at stores like Cosco, Target, and Best Buy (ugh!).
